CLINICAL TRIAL

MICROBIOTEST is recognized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as an independent contracting laboratory capable of performing Agency-required testing. As such, we are permitted to conduct all facets of testing related to the manufacturing and marketing of topical antimicrobial products which are specifically designed for human use. As the final step of the process, the FDA requires that products be tested under “simulated use conditions”, i.e., identical to how the product would be used once on the market. In order to conduct this final testing phase, our laboratory enlists the help of healthy volunteers to take part in the FDA-approved clinical studies for products applied to the skin.

MICROBIOTEST conducts clinical testing throughout the year. Qualified individuals who participate and complete the entire study will receive monetary compensation; partial payments for those who do not complete the entire study. The amount of compensation is dependent upon each study and the extent of participation.

In order to participate you must

• Be at least 18 years of age*;
• Be in good health;
• Read, speak and understand English
• Have a valid Social Security number;
• Be willing to follow the directions of the study;
• Be able to keep appointment times;; and
• Live within the Northern Virginia area of the National Capital area

*Young adults, aged 16-17, may participate with custodial consent, which includes custodians being present at time of consent.
